Version 18.1108-dev includes a new Player API and a SurgeScript collision system.
The new APIs are in beta, and are subject to change. Still, you can already play with them and make cool interactive things.

The SurgeScript API is quite powerful already. The integration has advanced substantially, and the new features include: Animation, Music, Sound, Level, Text, Video, Web. More will come in the future.
If you've been waiting for the new API, this is the time to begin
It's been a huge amount of work since I started, but I find it powerful already, though further testing is desirable (still Beta!)

Note: if you want to make an object appear in the editor, declare it as an entity. Then open the palette (press 2 in the editor).
SurgeScript is quite powerful, and now you can play with it. I'll be playing with it myself (more than I am already), as there are things I plan to port to it. I highly recommend not using the legacy API for new projects.

Version 18.1129-dev ships with the first version of the Profiler, a tool intended to give helpful insights about scripts and game performance. How to use: open the editor palette and place it on your level.
This is becoming really powerful. I intend to work on some game objects now.
