Write and read data from files

Need to understand that player will not pass all levels one-time.
I think than we must think about the possibility of working the engine with a files. It's necessary for save settings or game progress in permanent memory.
For example, it may be looks like save-page in Sonic Mania.
Is this idea possibly?

Re: Write and read data from files

Yes, something like that will be available for SurgeScript.

Unrestricted access to the file system open security issues and won't be provided, but a solution for working with in-game progress will. Unity has the concept of PlayerPrefs. I believe we can come up with something similar.

By the way (just as a curiosity), you can emulate such a system with the old API using save_level.
