Waterworks Zone: when should I start

I have some ideas for Waterworks Zone.
When should I start working on them?
I don't want to distract from the current
work on Sunshine Paradise.

Re: Waterworks Zone: when should I start

In my opinion, the main thing we need at the moment is the knowledge of which bricks/objects we will need in real level. Hence I propose to start with level design without any art, but using template:

(or you can use Sunshine Paradise brickset if you've already finished it)
Decorative objects can be added in the same way, just draw some simple dummies in Paint or whatever you use. After level design gets completed this far, we can analyze which brickset elements we need and create detailed art for them.

However, if you are willing to start with art (and not level design), then you can just go on with anything you like, I assume.

the current work on sunshine paradise involves: 1) a preliminary level design with the template 2) art. I'll do 1, this week.

Since squirrel is submitting stuff and you want to develop your ideas for Waterworks, you do that. smile You want to come up with design ideas, develop art, or maybe both? Please document the ideas you come up with: http://opensnc.sourceforge.net/wiki/ind … works_Zone, so we keep track of them.

Re: Waterworks Zone: when should I start

i can probably work on the pipe system.

Not active much anymore.
The only things I do now is just let inspiration come to me when it's needed.
Also bad profile pic because I don't have anything else in mind.
