Currently, I'm working on a using a background rip from Mega Man VII entitled, "Ruined City Zone"
As of right now I've got the background finished and a few bricks finished, after the brick set is done I'll probably design a short test of it which will be the first MM7 stage in it.
Ruined City Zone (Test #1)
Ruined City Zone (Test #2)
Comments?

i like this. for a megaman quest sure is good
when you finish please post the level, and if you can make a quest of megaman levels i like the megaman style
open sonic support any style of graphics. but the main "rings", "boxes" don't look's good in some gfx style, maybe better each quest have own items if possible > adding to the level a line -- items:custom.png or something

The second screenshot looks nice. I'm looking forward to playing on your level.

Here's a new screenshot, with a mixture of MM7 and MMX.

Very nice! Will we be able to play on your level anytime soon?

Hopefully by today, it probably won't be the best thing ever but, it's mainly meant to test some things out anyway.
Edit: Actually it's done now, download it here.

Credit goes to Gerudo from PureZC for the boss theme.
Edit 2: Ran another simple test, similar to the Ruined City Zone but shorter, got the slopes working much better etc. I call this the Highway Test you can download it here. Due to this, I'm going to redesign Ruined City Zone to make run flawlessly.

Well done! Your level has parallax scrolling, slopes and even a boss! It's nice for a first experience. I just think the first act is too "linear" (as I just move forward and kill the baddies). Maybe you could include some puzzles too, maybe some big level?
Offline
Well seeing I'm working on a 2.0 version, it'll include a different Act 2, Act 1 will have several modifications, and Act 3 will just basically be Act 2 from the previous version. Act 2 will probably be more maze based, and will involve team work.
Offline
Whee... Version 2's finished you can get that here.
Main changes are.
- Act 1 should be slightly easier and runs smoother.
- The level is 3 acts.
- Act 2 and 3 are new, with Act 3 having the same boss.
- The brickset has been modified, to include the rails from the MMX highway.

Very nice. I like your level, specially act 2. It's easy to get through Ruined City Zone using Tails, but it can be quite challenging if you use Sonic. I also found the big ring hidden in act 2. Don't know (yet) if there are any magic glasses or some other big ring.
Apparently you made good use of both the level editor and its tutorials. The slopes are working fine, there is parallax scrolling, moving clouds, a few distinct moveable platforms and a boss. We'd like you to give us some feedback. Please comment: was your level easy/regular/hard to make? Why? What about the bricks and the backgrounds? How about the level editor itself?

It was a lot easier than I initially thought it would be. I studied the tutorials fairly well, along with the images. I used MS Paint to compile the brickset which to my surprise MS Paint is actually useful. I'm also fairly used to designing levels, mainly from SMB3 rom hacking and the program Zelda Classic. So it was pretty simple experience, and I'm satisfied with the final product of Ruined City Zone.
