Open Surge Music Submission: Crystal Temple

I redid this with the new soundfonts.

I know it's not of high priority right now, but I thought I might as well post it.

Tell me what you think.

A beautiful song. Feels like the old 16 bits games, yet having its own originality. Excellent for Crystal Temple in my opinion. It needs to be "loopable", though (without that delay at the end of the song).

Anyway, could you please share the .ogg, so we can add it to the svn repository? smile

PS: It would also be nice to hear others comment about this. If you people don't comment, we can't possibly know whether you enjoy the submitted resources or not.

I really like the song, but what you should do is to skip the 8 bitish square lead and get some better sound. I think that the panflute or the ocarina might do the trick. Otherwise a gorgeous song!

Very nice! Although, to me it sounds somewhat like ring-tone version of a good instrumental song... I guess that's a really good thing for this game. tongue big_smile

It does have some whiny bits, that sound more like they're from the Nintendo, which produced music that sounded more like corny beeps(Mario-like). Sonic music (and Sega music in general) always sounded like real music, as if it could almost be heard at a club or casino ... just needed a little tuning and perhaps replacing some sounds with real instruments.
