Creator Objects Tool--CodeWatcher 1.2

THIS POST HAVE BEEN EDITED.
CodeWatcher 1.2 is now avaible!!
CodeWatcher it´s a software that let you create and save objects in .obj or .txt extension.
Tutorial will be avaible this week. Actual doesn´t works-Don´t read it!
The sofware have this features now:

-Easy to add commands, states and objects.
-Pre-build Wizards to create objects faster.
-Mix objects application: Let you create object by object and combine it in one file.
-All the code is dispose in different colors.
-Customizable color "resolution": more colors, less or all the text in black.
-Apply recomended color resolution depending to the file size.

But it has some problems:

-Some files (like the lunarrush´s water) give problem and the program gets crazy.
Solution: Disable color before open the file solves completly the problem.
-Sometimes is some slow adding colors.
Solution: Get less resolution or disable colors.

However  I´m trying to fix this smile. Apart of that, I didn´t find bugs. If you see some, report it.

Next things to be implement:

-Syntaxis helper: When you select a command and push F1, the program display the syntaxis.
-¿Error detection?: Very useful, yes, but I have no idea of how do this hmm  hmm. I will try to implement.

DOWNLOAD LINK: Want for the CodeWatcher1.2.rar file.

https://sites.google.com/site/thesevent … ownloads-2

The program is in CodeWatcher1.2\CodeWatcher1.2\Debug \CodeWatcher1.2.exe

C# is a language originally designed for Unix.
linux (and mac) is unix based, you can also use C# for linux.

I don't think that on a windows-computer a linux version can be made.

which editor do you use?

Edit: I try it with wine, hopefully he does it!

Aaaaaaaaaaand made! You can download the application from my page.
https://sites.google.com/site/thesevent … ownloads-2

Try to make it run. If this is imposible... mean that for run the program you need the microsoft framework 3.5 (don´t worry, it´s free!) from here, the microsoft page:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta … laylang=es
And be sure to select the correct language. tongue
Tutorial of "How use correctly Objects Creator" in tutorials zone.  It´s very easy to use but it´s necesary understand how the program work for a correct use. Enjoy the tool big_smile

Re: Creator Objects Tool--CodeWatcher 1.2

It's a good concept, TheSeventhEmerald, but I think the "WindowsFormApplication1/obj/Release" thing is a bit amateur-ish. Is it "improvable" ? Also, specifying the commands in any order the object designer wants is a better idea. smile

Re: Creator Objects Tool--CodeWatcher 1.2

I have some suggestions. After you fixed the command order problem, please reduce the space used for the commands. I can't see them all in my 17-inch 1024*768-resolution screen. Also, if enough space is there, add a large white box that shows users how their generated code will look like. Also, the text there should be editable.
Also, there is a bug in my Windows XP SP2 computer. If you click save without doing anything, a dialog box will appear. This one is normal, but after that an infinite number of dialog boxes reading "ct Exception" appear one by one. Can you fix this.

Your teacher asks you. What to answer? Say this:
"I thought the teacher is supposed to know."

Yeees, don´t worry. Theorically is easy to fix. I know what is a "ct Exception" (I put this control and yes, when appear, appear thousands of this boxes lol ). So I know what causes the problem and is not difficult to fix.

add a large white box that shows users how their generated code will look like

Very good idea! It will be incluided smile smile

Re: Creator Objects Tool--CodeWatcher 1.2

I´m working in the 2.0 version, the Code Watcher. Very different to the actual editor, and more easy and useful. And more seriously. You can find the actual version in my page, but I recommend you wait for next version. It will be avaible in one or two days. smile
Thanks! big_smile  big_smile

This brings me to another question? Which is your homepage? Google gives nothing relevant, no homepage added to your profile.

This is a big improvement smile
I think it helps with that text field and a all commando's left.
I do have a few tips, do what you want.
1. it is useful if the commands in a color. For example, all audio commands are red, all events are green...
2. for explane: If the user stand on a command (in the text arena), and then press F1, there will be information show about that command.
3. an error detection.

Re: Creator Objects Tool--CodeWatcher 1.2

So I've downloaded the new version, and it is good. Really good. Only problem is that when you've loaded  a file and try to save it with File > Save an exception is raised: Empty path illegal or something like that.

This error has been solved and I trying to include colors for different commands. I will try to include a syntaxis manual and the variables control. You will have soon the program. smile
One question: Why this post isn´t in the sticky with other users´s programs hmm ?

Could you please ... ?
- fix the major bugs/defects in your software
- create a new, more organized thread, with the download link easily visible in the first post

Thanks. smile

Re: Creator Objects Tool--CodeWatcher 1.2

How do you change a .rar file into one that works as an application, a level, or an object? I really want to use your objects and stuff and I can't figure out how! sad
