It's been a while since the object script system started to be made. The core system is now complete, and I have just made a custom object: a pushable block. It won't work on ramps, but it works fine otherwise.
You need bleeding edge rev. 194 or greater to see this.
Installation:
*.png -> images/ folder
*.spr -> sprites/ folder
*.obj -> objects/ folder (this is the script of the object)
It's very easy to make and share your own scripts.

version 0.1 (old)

This system can be used to make custom items, enemies and bosses. It's still under development, though.
I figured that at this moment a simple script system is more important than fancy items/features, as you will be able to extend the game engine without depending so much on the official releases.

The script has been improved and it plays a sound when pushed. It also shows a message on the screen.
0.1.4 is almost complete now. Now I'm just wondering how the boss areas will be designed and accessed through the script.
You can already make lots of cool enemies.

Can we put this in our own bricksets? Or should it stay as an object?
Your teacher asks you. What to answer? Say this:
"I thought the teacher is supposed to know."

No. It's an object, not a brick.
If you want multiple versions of a pushable block with small variations depending on the brickset, you can categorize your objects by name. Example:
"Sunshine Paradise.Pushable Block"
"Rainbow Zone.Pushable Block"
They will come in alphabetical order in the level editor.
