Original Graphics: Spring Pads

I was working on some spring pads that I was liking so far so I decided to post those as well. Soon I will be releasing a graphics set for levels and these are some of the things I am coming up with while I work on them.

A patch file is available here. Save the image to your OpenSonic/images folder. Apply the patch and restart OpenSonic in order for the changes to take affect. I skipped manual directions this time, so this may help Windows users.

This original graphical work has been created entirely by Celdecea for the OpenSonic project, and is hereby released under the Gnu General Public License version 2. The vector-based original created in Fireworks MX 2004 is available upon request.

WARNING: Some of the spring pads are not yet supported by the OpenSonic engine (as of version 0.1.1) but I am confident a patch for that will roll out sooner or later.

Planned: The four angled spring pads.

The goal-> sign in the first picture is part of the item sprites as are item boxes and rings, etc but all other level pieces are completely original graphics made from scratch using Fireworks MX 2004.

I am about 20% done.

The background is beautiful, and the items, realy good work, this is a sand-grass level.

My graphic style is different (realy) than old sonic games, i'm trying to do some original of this style but is hard to me.

Thank you for the spring pads. They will be included in the game (as well as the ring shield).
We can make some 45-degree red spring pads for future releases, as well as blue springs. As opposted to red springs, blue springs would have more power and would face only up.
So, what do you guys think? ---> TODO List?

Wow, your level graphic set looks very good! I also suspect it is a sand level. Cool!

If you refresh the image at the top of the page, the blue spring pads will appear.

I know you'll only have the one pointing upwards but maybe someday reverse gravity al-a Sonic and Knuckles might make it in.

Yesterday making my first level i think in a top spring pad, now i can try it, awesome.

Nice! Reminds me alot of "Mystic Cave Zone". Except, in the second picture Knuckles looks like he is floating.

Cool! It could have some slopes and shining crystals around too, and maybe a cave background. It's just an idea
Bricks can also have animation.
