Story:
Dr. Robotnik captures a girl named Stella to steal her necklace since he believes inside is a legendary stone that can help him make his latest creation, Mecha Shadow, to be the one thing that will help him conquer the world.

- Quest Site is up.
- Added new level: Mantic Ruins Zone. Demo includes act 1 only.
- Death Egg Corridor is hidden away in stage select as it is very much a work in progress. with 90% of it subject to changes.
- FMOD handles the background music. Still need to fix the override_music function.
- Still working on Achievements. They only appear on the menu.
- Menu needs new background as well as moving fonts so whole text appears.
- The quest would make use of different downloads, since this is part 1, and part 2 will feature Stella a playable character.

Awesome video. However, in my opinion the graphics of Wind Chime Zone could be improved a little bit. I'm looking forward playing your quest.

By coder you mean Alexandre? xD I'm still trying to get the whole thing into Visual Studio. But I plan to tweak it more once its setup. Although I'm more versed in C# than C. I'm just level designer for this quest and done some art changes such as logo, sprites, using PhotoPaint, Anim8or (the item monitors are actually 3D xDDDD). Also edited music and such.
So maybe I can help you with Level Design and some art direction xD

Nice videos. Spider Hill Zone looks much better now. Jungle Jamboree seems to be a very cool level too; I'd like to see that.
Just something to be noticed: in your Spider Hill Zone video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqjKSkBlvYY ), at some point the character appears behind the backgrounds. This probably happens because you forgot to close a "loop" object somewhere. If you forget to close it, the character may be able to get through walls (he has to get through walls to enter the loops, but that's all)

Awesome demo.
There's an issue: the engine source code is released under the GPL. Since you modified the code, it means you must open your entire source code and release it under the GPL as well. I believe FMOD is not GPL-compatible.
Other than that, this game is so much fun. Jungle Jamboree is my favorite level. I loved your level design.
The achievements screen crashes on my system. 1. Go to the options screen; 2. Close the options screen; 3. Open the achievements screen. Crashed.
There are some things that can be improved. Still, I had a lot of fun with it. Remember that you must release the source code.

As for FMOD and sourcecode, I guess I should then go back to the drawing board as to try to make logg work. or wait for the next full opensonic version. I guess I should include the entire src folder in the demo download for now? or I could redirect people to the opensonic source for now too, since well the changes are not big, the achievements class is just a test done imitating functions from the options menu. (I think Achievements crashes due to the index of the pointer of options, also just noticed it crashes anyway if its not in fullscreen.). There is no working achievements class for now although I'm working on one.

Hello, I work the "tutorial" on this version of the game, I can do the levels of this version (0.1.4) to version 0.1.3 (including images and Stella Quest) let me do this job?

Even if you made only small changes, you have to release your source code. Whether you're releasing it inside the demo or as a separate package is up to you.
Mantic Ruins Zone is nice too, but in my opinion you could improve (replace) the background. If you can develop an original background, it's even better.
A common problem both in Spider Hill and in Jungle Jamboree is that some platforms/walls are not smooth. There are many pixel defects, like this one:
This is not a level design issue; it's a brick design issue. Unfortunately Exotic Paradise has this problem as well. Mantic Ruins and Egg Corridor are mostly fine in this subject , though you can find a few errors in them as well.
Also, you should do something about the languages: since you have created an achievements screen, one can change the language and bring the "custom quests" option back.
Looking forward to playing the new versions.
