Anyone played the game?
I buyed it before it was released about july 2017 (So I get a small discount).
I did not beat it, my brother yes, played all the game and unlocked almost everything.
I liked the levels I played, and the smooth movements of the engine + level design and graphics. Music is amazing also.
It can run on 16:9 and it looks sharp always, even if the internal resolution is small.
A really good piece of software.

Not only played, but also decompiled it, studied the engine and created level maps: http://vgmaps.com/Atlas/PC/index.htm#SonicMania
... and ripped Metal Sonic cprites for easter egg in my level.
I liked the idea - realisation dropped levels from Sonic-2, but I think, that first two levels are superfluous. SEGA very often did remake of this levels.

I played it until I had everything. It is wonderful.
The level design is super-pleasant, and even the old zones have different things, so they are still enjoyable. The bosses are really clever, and I found the game to be a bit more challenging than the old school ones.
The music is awesome also. I would recommend any Sonic fan to play the game. And it has a very decent 2P mode!
Piece of cake...!

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of the game in late 2016. Even since I saw the launch trailer, I knew it was going to be a good game, and thankfully it turned out great. Great level design, bosses, music and control. The remixed zones are very good, and even make me like zones that I previously didn't like at all (Stardust Speedway, Metallic Madness, Oil Ocean), but the new zones are the best in the game, my personal favourite being Studiopolis.
In short, wonderful game, and I'm gonna try and get the Plus version as well.

How do you know, DLS was released 1.5 month ago.
I ripped the level maps for Encore mode with placing the item-boxes, special rings and teleporters on the maps, and I think that this can be useful for the players.

I played the game when my parents got it for me for my birthday. However, I only got to Flying Battery Zone.
But I can tell, that the level design was super fluid (see the Level Design Document to see the reference), the bosses were clever, the 2P and Time Attack modes were good, but the best thing was the music. Those composers really strutted their stuff!
Also, I have decided to make my own Mania mod. It's going to be called Sonic Mania: Ryan's World Style and the release date is TBA.
